Detailed Call Description
The Exchange Programme will finance mobility and costs of living for individuals (researchers, PhD students) to spend time months in one of the dAIEDGE Hosting Institutions, in order to perform common research in the field of AI at the EDGE that lead to significant advances.
The result of the programme should ideally lead to a common scientific publication between the beneficiary and the Hosting Institution.
Financing percentage by EU or other bodies / Level of Subsidy or Loan
dAIEDGE project will fund for around 10 Researchers or PhD Students in the field of AI at the Edge.
Each beneficiary can receive a maximum amount of up to €60.000 for participating in the up to 7 months of the Exchange Programme, which includes the following stages:
- Stage 1: Plan Phase, during which the beneficiary should deliver a Research Plan Document (including challenges, research activities, planned publication and budget), the duration of this stage is up to 2 months and, after completing it, the beneficiary will receive a the 25% of the requested grant (up to €15.000)
- Stage 2: Exchange Phase, which should lead to a Technical Report on the Conducted Research (minimal requirement). The duration of this stage is 5 months and, after completing it, the beneficiary will receive the 75% of the requested grant (up to €45.000).
Applicants must indicate the total required grant during the application phase.
Eligibility For Participation Notes
In order to be eligible, the applicant can apply as:
- Natural Person or
- Single legal entity:
- Research and Technology Organisations (RTO),
- Academia or
- SMEs (including startups) legally registered as a company at the moment of the application submission to this Open Call, which will delegate its individual Researcher or PhD Student.
Natural persons have to be citizens or permanent residents, and entities/organisations have to be registered in one of the following eligible countries:
- EU Member States and its Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT), or
- Horizon Europe Associated Countries.Ιdeal Candidates have experience and advanced knowledge on AI, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, development of AI based embedded systems, Signal Processing and System Integration, with a blend of academic and research experience and practical skills in Software, Hardware and AI.
