Scheme for Circular Economy in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises
Summary
The third Policy Axis aims to improve the competitiveness and resilience of the Cypriot economy. In addition to the other axes, it includes measures that contribute to the promotion of a new model of development and international competitiveness of the Cypriot economy, based on the results of the relevant study of the Cyprus Economy and Competitiveness Council.
Includes investments and reforms to expand the productive base by strengthening the primary and secondary sectors of the economy, improving competitiveness and the business environment, mainly by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), diversifying and strengthening the tourism product, modernizing public administration and local authorities, reform and improve the efficiency of the judiciary, fight corruption and enhance transparency, enhance research and innovation, and the resilience of the financial sector and the financial situation.

Detailed Call Description
The Scheme is adjusted and will be implemented under Commission Regulation (EC) No. 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 (GBER) and (EC) No. 2023/2831 of 13 December 2023 (De Minimis).
The following activities are not eligible for the purpose of the Scheme:
- Activities related to fisheries and aquaculture, as well as the production of wine and wine vinegar (Part II of Annex VII of the Regulation (EU) 1308/2013)
- Activities related to primary production of agricultural products.
The minimum proposed investment (eligible costs) is set to €30.000.
The grant is given as a percentage on the entire eligible investment (50%) with a maximum grant of €400.000.
The grant will cover machinery/ equipment and vehicle costs as well as consulting services regarding business diagnostics, business coaching, training of the employees and preparation of a roadmap for transitioning to circularity.
